An international standard for privacy information management — the requirements for a PIMS (Privacy Information Management System) covering how an organization handles personal data as a controller or processor. It grew out of ISO 27001 and shares its management-system structure. Entropy tracks current ISO 27701 certification as part of a vendor’s Governance score.
