Terms of Service

1. Service description

Entropy ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Entropy LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, and provides an independent AI vendor security scoring directory. Scores are computed algorithmically from publicly observable signals and are provided for informational purposes only. Entropy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any score or data.

2. Use of the service

You may use Entropy's public directory for lawful purposes. You may not: scrape or automate bulk data collection beyond the published API limits; attempt to manipulate scores; misrepresent your organizational authority when claiming a profile; or use the service to harass or defame any company or individual.

3. Vendor profile claims

By claiming a company profile, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that organization. Entropy verifies domain ownership via DNS — this does not constitute endorsement of any individual's authority within an organization. False claims may result in account termination.

4. Accuracy and disputes

Scores reflect automated signal detection and may not capture all relevant factors. We provide a dispute mechanism for vendors to flag incorrect findings. We review disputes in good faith but are not obligated to change scores without supporting evidence.

5. User reviews and ratings

Signed-in users may submit star ratings and written reviews of vendor profiles ("Reviews"). Reviews are the opinions of the individual users who submit them — they are not verified, fact-checked, endorsed, or adopted as statements of Entropy, and they are wholly independent of the Entropy score, which is computed algorithmically from the public signals described in Section 1. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, Entropy hosts this third-party content; we are not its publisher or speaker, and we do not draft, edit for substance, or endorse any Review.

Reviews must not be fake, incentivized, or compensated without clear disclosure; must not misrepresent the reviewer's relationship to the vendor; and must not contain harassment, off-topic content, or defamatory factual claims presented without basis. Our Community Guidelines describe prohibited content and our reporting and appeals process in more detail. We may remove a Review that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines, at our discretion.

A claimed vendor profile, at or above the account tier that feature requires, may post a public response to a Review of its own company. A response is the vendor's own statement — it is labeled as such wherever it appears and is not reviewed, verified, or endorsed by Entropy.

6. Limitation of liability

Entropy scores are informational only and do not constitute security advice, legal counsel, or endorsement. We are not liable for procurement decisions made based on Entropy data. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
