What we collect
- ▸Account data: Email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
- ▸Usage data: Page views and interactions via Vercel Analytics (anonymized, no cookies).
- ▸Waitlist: Email addresses submitted via the founding-cohort waitlist form or the newsletter signup in the site footer — both are stored in the same list, tagged by which form you used.
- ▸Evidence files: Certification documents you upload to support your profile claim (stored in Firebase Storage, access-controlled).
- ▸Company notes: Private notes you create on vendor profiles (stored in Firestore, visible only to you).
- ▸Reviews: Star ratings and written reviews you submit are stored in Firestore and displayed publicly on the reviewed company's profile, associated with your account but never with your email address directly. See our Community Guidelines for what we do with a review you flag or report.
What we do not collect
We do not sell personal data or share your information with third parties for advertising purposes, and we never use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Score data is derived from publicly observable signals, not from data you provide.
How we use your data
Account data is used solely to authenticate you and link you to your claimed company profile. Email addresses are used to send score-drop alerts (only if you have companies on your watchlist) and product updates (only if you opted in via the waitlist).
Data storage and security
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Storage), hosted in the United States. We use Firebase Authentication with optional SMS MFA. Evidence files are encrypted at rest and access-controlled by Firestore security rules.
Your rights
Entropy LLC, a Nevada limited liability company is the data controller for personal data collected through Entropy. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing security@entropy.com or writing to us at 732 S 6th St #7562, Las Vegas, NV 89101. Company score data is derived from public signals and is not considered personal data.
Cookies
Entropy does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We set one necessary cookie, which stores your cookie preference itself — nothing is set until you make a choice via the cookie banner or the "Cookie preferences" control in the footer. Vercel Analytics remains anonymized and cookieless as described above; opting in via that control only determines whether it loads at all. Firebase Authentication uses a session token stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie.
